Using Text Boxes and Arrows

Using Block Arrows and Text Boxes - Life Cycle of a Butterfly

Type a heading at the top of the page.  
Life Cycle of a Monarch Butterfly  
Start by drawing 4 text boxes at at the top, bottom, left and right of the page Text Box tool

Click on the thumbnail to see an example

In each text box insert a image from the life cycle of a butterfly.
Images can be obtained from the internet.

The size of the text box and image will have to be adjusted.
This can be difficult for the children as the picture may be bigger than the text box.
When each image is placed, label it.

Each text box needs to be linked using Autoshapes > Block Arrows > choose an arrow

Draw 4 arrows in there rough positions or draw one and copy and paste.
Use Draw > Rotate or Flip to make the arrows face the direction you wish.
Alternately you could use the green circle (free rotate) on each arrow to rotate it.

The arrows can be coloured using the fill colour tool. Fill colour tool
To make it look tidier take the border off the text boxes.

Click on the text box and use the line colour tool. Choose "No Line" to remove the line
