Using the Drawing Tool Bar

Possible lesson for - Late Stage 1, Stage 2 or Early Stage 3

Drawing 2D Shapes -
      Students should be aware of the

Start by drawing a rectangle with the rectangle tool, in the top left hand corner of the page.

Draw a square next to it, use the rectangle tool but press shift as you draw.  
Underneath these shapes draw an oval and a circle using the same technique as above.

Colour the shapes using the fill colour tool

Before colouring the line around the outside of the shape make it thicker (6pt) using the line style tool.

Colour the line using the line colour tool.

Use the Auto shapes > Basic shapes

Draw two more shapes at the bottom of the page
Colour them in the same way you coloured the shapes above.

Each shape can then be labelled by    Text box tool
- drawing a text box under each shape to type a label or

- right click on the shape > add text

Finish off with a Word Art heading Word Art Tool
Explore the Word Art toolbar while your at it.
Once you have inserted your Word Art, click on it to make the Word Art Tool bar appear.
