Children
from the age 3 years to school entry who have a disability are
eligible for the intervention support class service.
Funding for
the class is supported by a grant from the Commonwealth Young
Children with Disabilities, Intervention Support Program. In
order to comply with current Commonwealth program guidelines,
the following definition of a child with a disability is used:
... a student (child) who has been accessed by a person with
relevant qualifications as having intellectual, sensory,
physical, social / emotional or multiple impairments
(Commonwealth Programs for Schools, Administrative
Guidelines p.48).
